Vanessa Magson holds dual British and German citizenship and has been living in Germany for 30 years. After studying German and French at the University of Durham, UK, where Vanessa received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with special distinction in oral German, she soon moved to Germany, working for renowned publishing houses such as Harper Collins and Bertelsmann.

For 10 years Vanessa travelled the world extensively heading up Bertelsmann’s international rights department. She licensed all kinds of digital and printed products to the world’s largest publishing companies. She was also responsible for new business development and strategic planning.

Vanessa is an international licensing agent as well as a consultant for the media industry on the subject of international marketing, co-operations and international licenses. She offers in-house and external coaching and holds international bi-lingual seminars on the publishing business, international licensing and co-editions as well as on sales and negotiating techniques. She is an English language copyeditor, particularly for art publishers and museums, as well as for school-book publishers. As a native speaker she enjoys working on audio books for children’s and educational publishers.

Vanessa lives with her daughter Miriam in Munich.
